12/26/2023 0 Comments Worms pinball controls pc![]() Now starting the game directly or through the profiler comes up with a blank screen like it's the wrong res, but I can still hear the sounds. It started after I configured my gamepad with my Logitech profiler. I really don't want to have to force a lower monitor res just to play though. Played Monster Fair and this is actually pretty cool. Okay, it works if I actually lower my monitor res. Erasing the extra line messes up the game too and doesn't work again until I reinstall it. My monitor res isn't supported and I tried to force game to run at lower res under properties but it doesn't work at all. Ironic that some of the reasons in the reviews for disliking it (the simple layout) is exactly one of the reasons why I like it.Īnd I thought Worms Pinball on Steam was expensive.ĭespite the fact they're on sale right now, the highest standard price is 35 dollars! Really?Īt least the sale prices are actually decent. My uncle in FL has both games and he is letting me keep the disc too. ![]() I noticed Royal Flush has ads for conversions of Fireball and Queen of Hearts, both never released, which makes me want to see them in Pinball Arcade even more. Seems impressive for the time it came out. I like the Royal Flush conversion so far too. From what I played of the Amtex version, it seems like a nice conversion. A bit disappointing to see Eight Ball Deluxe get low reviews on both sites, as well. Epic Pinball's review on one site says it's only for casual players and the other site's reviews of Silverball and Epic Pinball give me the impression that the reviewer didn't play some of the tables much at all. Interesting sites, but some reviews are better than others. This was one of the first video pinball sites I've visited since I became interested in the genre. The title screen features the same artwork as the title screen for Worms 2 on the Dreamcast. Here's couple great PC pinball sites I've discovered ever since I became interested in the genre: There are a variety of control schemes to move the table and flippers, default being the top triggers for the flippers, the thumb stick to move the table, and A to launch the ball. A shop will open up that will let you choose bonuses or mini games, such as a police chase. You can hit ramps to earn combos, or shoot into the finishing line in the middle for a lap. There are four “stages” or “environments” that determine the kind of games or bonuses you get: Jungle, Mars, Hell, and Desert. There is also a card shuffling game for an extra 35,000,000. These mini games include guiding a super sheep with the flipper triggers to collect point balloons in the air before crashing into a worm for a 10,000,000 point bonus. There is a cave that opens up that will give random bonuses as well as mini games that are played on the LED. Collecting enough of these will get you a promotion. The goal on the Worms table is to collect weapons, earn victories, and missions to get a higher bonus. Worms is a more “claustrophobic” table with plenty of things to bounce the ball back at you while Rally Fever is more wide open and generally “faster”. There are only two tables: Worms and World Rally Fever. Ī playable demo of Worms / Rally Fever Dreamcast does exist and thanks to Brad we have some more info about it: the disc is labeled version 1.0 and dated. ![]() It is possible that Addiction Pinball began life as an unfinished Amiga game called Team17 Pinball, which was cancelled in 1994. However for one reason or another these plans were scrapped. The Dreamcast version was basically finished, but it was never released.Īccording to information posted by Team17’s Creative Director Martyn Brown on the official Team17 Forum, there were plans to include a table based on Alien Breed, Team17’s highly successful top-down shooter released for the Amiga in 1991. The game was later ported to the PlayStation and released as Worms Pinball to capitalise on the success of the Worms franchise. As NEo has make us to notice, Worms Pinball / Rally Fever Pinball is the cancelled port of Addiction Pinball for the Dreamcast, a pinball simulation game released in 1998 for PC, featuring tables based on two popular Team 17 games – Worms and World Rally Fever.
